The 4 Essential Requirements for Opening an e-DEPO Account<\/h2>\n

e-DEPO is a Belgian government service that is accessible only under certain technical and administrative conditions. If even one prerequisite is missing, the process is blocked. <\/p>\n\n

To log in to MyMinfin with your eID, you’ll need a physical card reader connected to your computer, or the itsme app installed and set up on your smartphone.<\/p>\n

A Belgian bank account in your name (Belgian IBAN)<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The rental guarantee must be transferred from a Belgian bank account in the tenant’s name. e-DEPO does not accept foreign bank accounts (French, Dutch, etc.). <\/p>\n

\n This may be an issue if:<\/strong> you have just arrived in Belgium and have not yet opened a local bank account. Opening a Belgian bank account can itself take several weeks. \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n

Funds Available Immediately<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

You must be able to transfer the full amount of the rental guarantee<\/a> in a single payment (2 to 3 months’ rent). e-DEPO does not accept partial payments or payments in installments. <\/p>\n

\n Keep in mind:<\/strong> For a monthly rent of 800 \u20ac in Brussels, you must have 1,600 \u20ac available in your account at the time of the application.\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n \n
