This limit is intended to ease the financial burden on tenants and prevent abuse. <\/li>\n \t<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/garantie.be\/en\/rental-guarantee-flanders\/\">rental guarantee in Flanders<\/a> can be up to <b>3 months&#8217; rent<\/b>, either in the form of a blocked account or a bank guarantee. Depending on the situation, tenants can obtain :   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advance payment of the <a href=\"https:\/\/garantie.be\/en\/rental-guarantee-cpas\/\">rental guarantee by the CPAS<\/a><\/li>\n<li>A CPAS deposit in favor of the owner, guaranteeing payment of the required sum in case of need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Brussels, a special scheme called <b>Fonds BRU-GAL<\/b> is managed by the Fonds du Logement. This fund enables tenants to benefit from a mutualized rental guarantee, without having to pay the money immediately. Once this agreement has been signed, the bank or management company releases the funds and returns them to the tenant. <\/p>\n<p>In the event of a dispute, if the owner considers that sums should be withheld, the guarantee remains blocked until an agreement is reached. If no agreement can be reached, the dispute may be referred to the Justice of the Peace, who will decide on the distribution of the funds.
