Yes. The form is entirely online and accessible from any country. You can start and complete your application even before you arrive in Belgium, as long as you have a signed lease or a draft lease.
No. A signed contract with a verifiable employer is treated as a guaranteed future income. We accept applications from individuals whose contract will begin in the weeks following the signing of the lease, provided that the start date of employment is documented.
The rental guarantee is governed by the Belgian Civil Code and regional legislation. The amount is capped at 2 months’ rent in Brussels and Wallonia, and at 3 months in Flanders. It can take the form of an escrow account, a bank guarantee, or a joint and several guarantee—such as the one offered by garantie.be.

Termination is free and can be done at any time. It takes effect either at the end of the lease, once the landlord confirms that there are no outstanding debts, or by replacing the garantie.be security deposit with a standard escrow account if you wish to change your guarantee method.
