How much does the rental guarantee from Garantie.be cost?
By obtaining your rental guarantee on garantie.be you do not block any funds in the bank, you take out a surety contract.
The GARANTIR company stands surety for the financial commitments of the lease on behalf of the tenant. The amount of the deposit fee is proportional to the amount of the guaranteed rental guarantee: The annual surety fee represents 6% of the amount of the rental guarantee, with a minimum amount of € 96 per year.
For a rental guarantee of € 2,000, the tenant will pay € 10 per month in surety costs (in annual payment) so that the lessor is guaranteed his solvency up to € 2,000. The tenant can cancel the deposit at any time by blocking the € 2,000 rental guarantee with a bank and obtaining the agreement of the lessor.
Is the guarantee obtained on Garantie.be equivalent to a bank rental guarantee?
The rental guarantee provided by garantie.be to the lessor is equivalent to a bank guarantee. The GARANTIR company, which acts as surety, is a financial guarantee company for individuals with a capital of 500,000 euros registered in the companies register in Brussels.
What happens in the event of non-payment by the tenant?
In the event of a debt arising from the poor performance of the lease contract by the tenant, the lessor may turn against Garantir (financial guarantee company) if the legal proceedings against the tenant are unsuccessful.
I already have a bank deposit, can I get it back?
To recover your blocked bank deposit, all you need to do is take out a rental guarantee on Garantie.be. We then contact your lessor to take the place of your initial guarantee. Your funds are released by the bank as soon as it is done.
For how long am I linked to Garantie.be?
The surety contract signed with Garantie.be can be terminated at any time, there is no commitment of duration. To terminate, you just need to provide any rental guarantee solution to your lessor: as soon as your rental guarantee has been accepted by the lessor, the guarantee.be guarantee contract is immediately cancellable.
