When can rental guarantee be retrieved from e-DEPO?
The rental guarantee can be recovered only at the end of the lease, when :
- The accommodation has been returned in good condition (except for normal wear and tear),
- Rents and charges have been paid in full,
- Both parties to the lease agree on the amount to be returned,
- And that this agreement is formalized via e-DEPO.
Conditions to be met before submitting an application
Before making your request on MyMinfin, please ensure that :
- The lease is over, with an inventory of fixtures completed,
- The owner agrees to the return of the rental guarantee,
- You have access to your MyMinfin account and know your e-DEPO file number,
- You have valid bank details for the refund.
3 steps to rental guarantee e-DEPO
Step 1: Access your rental guarantee file on MyMinfin
- Log in to MyMinfin with your eID, Itsme or other means of identification.
- Once you have logged in, select “e-DEPO” from the list of services.
- Click on “Consult my deposits”.
- Select the depot corresponding to the item in question.
Step 2: Request the return of blocked funds
- Click on“Request refund“.
- Indicate the amount to be refunded (total or partial).
- Fill in the bank details to receive the funds.
- The other party to the lease must also approve the request.
Step 3: Waiting for the refund
- Once both signatures have been received, the Administration will make the payment.
- Funds are generally transferred within 10 to 15 business days.

In the event of disagreement or dispute
It may happen that the owner refuses to sign the restitution, or disputes the amount:
