Tips for using this model
- Send your letter by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt if you don’t get a quick response.
- Always enclose a copy of the lease and the signed inventory of fixtures on departure.
- Specify your IBAN to facilitate the transfer.
- If the guarantee is blocked at the bank, you can also send this letter to the depository organization (bank, Garantie.be, etc.).
- In the event of disagreement, contact the justice of the peace in the area where the property is located.
Good to know The lessor has 30 days in which to to release the rental guarantee after the property has been returned. Once this period has elapsed, the tenant can request the release of the deposit directly from the bank or via the justice of the peace.
